In June 2022, the Department for Education (DfE) released a new National Plan for Music Education (NPME).
Solent Music Hubs (Portsmouth Music Hub, Southampton and IOW Music Hubs) are consulting with schools in our regions to better understand existing provision and help plan future support for schools in their delivery of the NPME.
The information you provide will be combined with needs analysis responses from young people, families, music organisations and other stakeholders to help the music hub develop a local education plan which responds to the NPME in a way which is broad, balanced, and addresses local needs.
In doing this, we hope to continue our work of helping every child access the life-changing power of music, and putting music as the heart of vibrant local communities.
