Resource Fair Participation at 2nd Annual  Recovery Awareness Walk and Celebration

Greetings,

On behalf of the Shawano County Drug Treatment Court program and Leadership Shawano County Class of 2023, we would like to invite you to be a part of our 2nd Annual Greater Shawano Area Recovery Celebration & Awareness Walk being held on Saturday, May 6th, 2023.  The Recovery Celebration & Awareness Walk was started in order to bring community awareness and supportive encouragement for those living in and working on recovery from substances in Shawano and Menominee Counties and surrounding areas. Our objectives are to help people on their pathway to long-term recovery, strengthen families, improve work place performance and retention, and reduce domestic violence and child abuse situations, as well as encouraging a community with reduced crime and drug dependence in order to have a safer, more harmonious community for all.

As part of the 2nd Annual Greater Shawano Area Recovery Celebration & Awareness Walk, we are planning a Community Resource Fair. We would love for your organization to share your valuable resources that support substance use recovery with our community. We are looking for anyone to share topics and opportunities related to: Recovery, Mental & Physical Wellness, Overall Well-Being, Community Resources that will help others on a road to a better life for themselves and their kids, and any other information you feel would benefit this audience.

The Resource Fair will take place at our event on Saturday, May 6th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Franklin Park (235 S. Washington St, Shawano). (Please note: There is a rain date of Sunday, May 7th, in the event of inclement weather on May 6th.) The deadline to reserve a resource fair table is April 14th, 2023.  Please contact Lori, Leadership Shawano County participant, by calling 715 526 4870 or email at lori.schuettpelz@wisc.edu for more information or to reserve your spot!  Thanks for considering being a part of this important community event!
