The award is broken down into 3 categories. Students can be nominated for more than one category and there is no limit on the number of nominations. A winner will be selected for each category and an overall winner will be presented with the Ellie Swanton Pride of HGS award. The award is for year 12 and 13 students only and is to recognise the huge amount of time many students spend inside and outside school supporting others.

Charity

This category is for someone that has been involved inside or outside of school working to support a charity. This can be through fundraising, volunteering their time or any other relevant activity.

Community

This category is for someone that has given their time to support the local community or a local community group. This can be inside or outside school.

Community - please comment on the nature of the work, duration and impact.

Selflessness

This award is to recognise individuals that have given their time or efforts selflessly to help others. This could be someone that has supported an individual or can always be relied upon within any situation to give their time and energy.
