CRITERIA:
• Educators (Teachers, professors, school administrators, classified personnel) working with Pacific Islander students (Chamorro (Guam), Fijian, Hawaiian, Maori, Marshallese, Samoan, Tahitian, Tongan, etc.) in grades K-12, or college or university are eligible for the Sevia Ma’ae Educator Award. Nominees do NOT have to be of Pacific Islander descent.
• Educators may be nominated by community members, educators, or students.
• Educators are selected based on their commitment to Pacific Islander student achievement, Pacific Islander club or other activity sponsorship, or other forms of service to students and the community
