CRITERIA:
Educators (Teachers, professors, school administrators, classified personnel) working with Pacific Islander students (Chamorro (Guam), Fijian, Hawaiian, Maori, Marshallese, Samoan, Tahitian, Tongan, etc.) in grades K-12, or college or university are eligible for the Sevia Ma’ae Educator Award. Nominees do NOT have to be of Pacific Islander descent.
Educators may be nominated by community members, educators, or students.
Educators are selected based on their commitment to Pacific Islander student achievement, Pacific Islander club or other activity sponsorship, or other forms of service to students and the community
