Boys Basketball Game Event Staff

With the upcoming Boys Basketball season a month away, the Athletics Department is searching for qualified students and teachers to help out at our home basketball games. If you are interested, please select which job position you would be interested in assisting with. If selected, you will be invited to interview for the position.

Most game workers will need to be at Chesapeake Science Point gymnasium from 3:30-7:30pm on the following dates: 11/26, 12/3, 12/20, 1/3, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10, 1/22, 1/27, 1/29, 2/1, 2/4, 2/6, 2/14, 2/19.

Game workers are compensated by earning community service hours, along with an invitation to our Awards Banquet.

Ticket table- sells tickets to spectators, collects cash, organizes register

Concession stand- sells snacks and drinks, collects cash, organizes register

Scoreboard and shot clock operator- operates the scoreboard and shot clock

Book recorder- records game stats in book

Announcer- announces starters, and highlights plays during the game

Security- check tickets, keep doorway clear, monitor spectators

DJ- plays music for the event

Sing National Anthem

Spirit Squad- come up with cheers, steps, claps, chants
