Full-time AmeriCorps Positions (July 2021-January 2022) available through the Coro Commonwealth Civilian Coronavirus Corps. The Coro Commonwealth Civilian Coronavirus Corps aims to meet immediate and longer-term needs as a result of the COVID pandemic through harnessing the passion and energy of community members to create positive change and civic engagement throughout the Pittsburgh region. As a Corps Member, you will:
Serve at a local organization to meet community needs due to the pandemic. Nonprofits with open positions include: Sustainable Pittsburgh & Latino Community Center.
Work with your team to learn about, develop and implement COVID public health campaigns. You will receive weekly training to support your efforts in this area. Coaching and career development will be offered throughout the program.
Participants will receive a living stipend of $1,500/month (taxable), and an educational award of over $3K upon graduation. Other benefits include health insurance, child care subsidies, and student loan deferral. In-person and remote positions available.
Requirements: 17 yrs or older. HS Diploma or equivalent. Must be a US Citizen or eligible to work in the US. We are looking for people with a passion for community service, public health, and social change to join us for this 7-month AmeriCorps program.
