Leo Baeck College Course - Tips, Techniques and Topics for Jewish Teaching
Wednesdays 17, 24, 31 Jan & 7, 21, 28 Feb (6 weeks) - ONLINE (7:30-9pm)

Course Description:

This course will focus on how to teach festivals and life cycle events with practical ideas using different teaching and learning methods. For example, the Jewish calendar will be taught through the use of drama, Israel will be taught using different arts and crafts techniques, the Torah will come alive through the art of storytelling, music will be the medium to teach different festivals, the Shoah will be the focus of Jewish history, and Bnei Mitzvah teaching will be approached through creative writing. In addition, the use of simple Hebrew will be used as much as possible in all sessions. 

Between each session, students will be asked to do some reading around the topic for the following week.

The sessions will be taught by Pamela Hartog and a variety of specialist teachers.
