Application for Violin/Viola Studio of Madison Powell (Avon, IN)
Thank you so much for your interest in private lessons!  My name is Mrs. (Madison) Powell.  I’m a professional musician, and I love my work as a private instructor.  I have been teaching violin and viola privately for 15 years.  My number-one goal is to foster a love of music with each of my students.  I aim to help each student achieve personal excellence on the violin/viola.  You can read more about my bio and qualifications on my website:  www.powellmusicacademy.com.

Avon Orchestra Private Lessons Backgroud:

Avon Orchestra's is extremely fortunate to be one of only a few music programs statewide that offers top-notch in-school private instruction for students (during the orchestra class or before/after school).  Private lessons reinforce and build upon the concepts in class and help students to attain a higher level of performance on his or her instrument. They are also a fun and positive experience! Lessons will be in-person this year and would only be virtual in the event in-person lessons are not possible due to the COVID-19 world pandemic.

Waitlist:

*Please join Mrs. Powell's waitlist by filling out this online application as open enrollment for private lessons has ended for the 2021-2022 school year.  I am only able to accept new students for the 2021-2022 school year through this form.
*Submittal of this form does not guarantee acceptance into Madison Powell's Violin/Viola Studio as my schedule is near or at school-schedule capacity.  Submittal of this form will only add you to my studio waitlist.
*Mrs. Powell will send out a mass email to the waitlist ONLY if I have an opening during your student's orchestra class or after school.

Other Information:

*Each student in the studio is assigned a regular weekly lesson time either during orchestra class or after school.
*Students are not penalized for missing part of their orchestra class for private lessons, as the skills learned in lessons are extremely beneficial to the student musician.  One-on-one instruction during your student’s private lesson helps to build confidence.  It also accelerates and enhances what your child is learning in the classroom.  Students in private lessons become stronger players and leaders among their peers.
