Digital Journal Submissions
Our vision is for the Digital Journal to be a shorter and more accessible alternative to our full-length policy papers, and to spark collaborative articles and events with other societies.
Featuring in the Digital Journal is an excellent way to express your views on current affairs and to have your name in an academic journal.

Article requirements:
  • Length 800-1500 words
  • Written in an academic style - contributors are encouraged to present their own views, but they must do so in a balanced, well-researched manner.
  • The articles must be centred around policy. For example, on an article on the privatisation of the NHS, writers can describe how past policy has given rise to the present aspects of healthcare they are discussing and propose future policy to implement the changes they wish to see.
  • First drafts must contain bibliographies of sources the writer has used in their work.
Your proposal will be assessed by the Editors of the Digital Journal. If accepted, we will work with you on your first-draft before publication and get you published!

See https://www.thewilberforcesociety.co.uk/digital-journal for examples of previous Digital Journal articles.
To help give you ideas, some important topics are the environment, healthcare, economics, development, politics (domestic, international, or geopolitics), technology, education, the military, trade, and markets.

Contributors to our Digital Journal are open to all students at the University of Cambridge.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email policy@wilberforcesociety.co.uk and we will answer whatever queries you have.

We look forward to receiving your submissions and publishing your articles!
