Input from SJLES parents

Hello!

For our human growth and development class, we are tasked with finding ways to make SJLES a "green school" next year. My group and I have been assigned citizen and community science and we are looking to improve the safety for walkers around the school. Many of the SJLES kids live in a mile radius of the school and they won't be getting any buses next year, so they're forced to walk. This poses many safety concerns from parents, and many don't let their kids walk which increases the traffic after school. Many parents park at the back entrance of the school and recklessly drive on that road as soon as their kids are safe and in the car. We want to make SJLES parents feel safer about their kids walking, which would reduce the traffic, by collecting their input and identifying a solution!
