ULMS offers Regular 8th grade Math and  Algebra I for High School credit. Students signing up to take Algebra I should have successfully completed the prerequisite 6th and 7th grade Accelerated Math classes. Students will be given until mid- term of the 1st 9 week grading period to come out this class. After that, the student will remain in the accelerated class.  Please choose the math class you would like for you child to be scheduled into for the 2020-2021 school year.

ULMS offers Regular 8th grade English-Language Arts and  9th grade Literature and Composition for high school credit. Students taking this accelerated class should be those who preform well above grade level in ELA.  9th grade Lit will move  at a much faster pace than regular ELA. Students will be given until mid- term of the 1st 9 week grading period to come out this class. After that, the student will remain in the accelerated class.  Please choose the ELA class you would like for you child to be scheduled into for the 2020-2021 school year.

Students taking Physical Science should be above average students of math, problem solving and writing.  Physical Science will move  at a much faster pace than regular science. Students will be given until mid- term of the 1st 9 week grading period to come out this class. After that, the student will remain in the accelerated class.  Please choose the science class you would like for you child to be scheduled into for the 2020-2021 school year.

Each student will be scheduled into 2 electives each 9 week grading period. Throughout the school year, everyone will take Health, Physical Education, a Fine Arts class and a CTAE (Career, Technical, Agricultural Education) class.  Students who are below level in Math and Reading may also be scheduled into remedial classes during this time.  Students are given a choice if they would like to take Band or Chorus. Band and Chorus are year long classes for the students.

As a part of our CTAE Department, students are given the option tp take a year long class of Basic Agriculture . Course Description: Basic Agricultural Science is an introductory level course that prepares students for further education and careers in the area of Agriculture. Classroom and laboratory activities are supplemented through supervised agricultural experience projects and leadership activities through the FFA. Upon completion and passing of this class you will have 1 high school class credit and will have the opportunity to choose higher level agriculture courses upon your arrival at the high school next year. Our Physical Education Dept. offers an Advanced PE. This PE class is designed for students desiring more strength and agility training than takes places in the regular PE class. Students are expected to dress out and participate each day.  Check below if you would like Advance PE.
