Red Rose Arena in Lancaster is trying to organize a new box lacrosse league to start in November and run through The first week of January.  It will likely be Friday nights and maybe some Sunday mornings.  I am looking to coach and run a 12u team (player does not turn 13 before 1/1/23). Rib/kidney pads plus bicep pads, along with the standard lacrosse pads, will likely be required for league play. You will need to supply your required gear--you can get them for 50-60 dollars new at most lacrosse stores online or used on sites like sideline swap.  We plan on doing clinics to teach and play real Canadian Box! Preference will go to players that sign up here.  I am looking to carry 16 runners 1 goalie (league will provide the gear) and a willing back up Goalie.  After the first clinic on 9/24, I will open it up to free agents.  There will be a cost for registration fees and jerseys. It will likely be in the hundred dollar range.  I will figure that out once we know how many we have.  This is a new team and new league so this not betraying your present field club/team.  Come out and play with some different kids and learn the box game together.  I would like to put a good team together of kids that really want to learn and play box.  I have no doubt this league will grow (I am already talking to them about another league second half of summer) and this is a chance to get in early.  As far as signing up for position, if you don't know the positions that is ok.  Likely the best ball handlers and play creators will play offense.  I also need some lefties. Transition is like midfield.  I think at this age, I would like to get everyone a mix of experience at different positions. I absolutely need a dedicated goalie that can be depended on.
