EstMUN 2021: Application form

Target groups:
- Participants: high school students (age 15-19) from Estonia UNESCO ASPnet schools and foreign schools´ delegations
- Observers: teachers from Estonia UNESCO ASPnet schools and foreign schools´ delegations that accompany minors or are interested to observe their students participating in the event and socialise with other teachers

Please note that the deadline for this applications is May 31, 2021 until the end of the day!
The selected participants will receive a confirmation of their participation by June 1, 2021.

UNFCCC COP (Conference of the Parties on UN Framework Convention on Climate Change) - leaders Valeria Potšinok and Nils Joonas Kristian Saar
"Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation"
The main goal for the participants is to apply innovative and nature-related thinking to their work, bringing practical solutions from locally based projects to international initiatives. These can be implemented to effectively address the accelerating climate crisis.


ICJ (International Court of Justice) - leaders Liisa Salekešina, Viktoria Iškina and Oryna Kozmenko
"Case of Nisour Square Massacre"
Model of International Court of Justice is aimed at providing students with a platform for considerable debate on an advanced level. Participants will be presented with a unique opportunity to take on challenging roles of impartial judges and competent lawyers representing different countries in bilateral international disputes. Given committee promotes progressive development of the existing international law by taking a closer look at the ongoing conflicts.


MEDIA (Representatives of International Media Outlets) - leaders Hanna Sähka and Liisa Salekešina
"Creating a narrative: How media ownership and personal bias influences public discourse"
The main goal is to introduce to students how media ownership and the personal bias of journalists influences the stories seen on news media, and the way in which real life events are broadcast.
