College & Career Center Upgrade Project 2021

Background: Thanks to the 2020 Auction Raise-the-Paddle, the Oakland Tech PTSA has funds to upgrade the technology in the College and Career Center. The funds we raised will allow us to purchase a chromebook cart (possibly two), more/upgraded desktop computers, and more/upgraded printers. This new technology will necessitate some reworking of the space in the CCC, so we will also do some clean-up and light remodeling (such as painting, setting up tables/desks, etc.) in addition to the more technical setup of new and upgraded technology.

This project will entail a few meetings (Zoom to start), some flex-time research and communication, and then some on-site work over the summer when it is COVID-safe. Our goal is to complete everything in time for the new school year. If you are interested in working on this project, please complete this form so I know how and when you can be involved.

There will be many aspects of this project. I am still assessing the tasks, but it helps to know what your volunteer interests are. Which of the following are you able to assist with: *

ASAP but on your own schedule: Communicating (e.g. emailing OUSD, PTSA)
