Grace Period. A Community Ritual for Collective Healing is a community ritual taking place at select make/shift memorial sites across the city in the spirit of remembrance and resilience, hope and healing.

Our first ritual/memorial will take place on Sunday, May 16th at Germantown Espresso (26 Maplewood Mall, Philadelphia, PA 19144). The Building Bridges artists will activate the memorial with a pop-up performative ritual at 7pm.

The community is invited to join the artists and participate in the ritual in whatever ways inspire you. You can come and leave a poem or a prayer, a photo or a piece of art, adding an offering of your choice to the community altar. You are also welcome to just come and observe and hold space in collective honor and remembrance.
