Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a room parent! Teachers use room parents in a variety of ways which differ across schools, grades and classrooms. It typically includes helping line up parent volunteers for events and communicating PTA information to parents in “your” class. No specific experience is necessary.

The Lead Room Parent serves as the liaison between the parents & teacher. They are the teacher's "point person" and communicate and delegate information from the teacher to the Room Parent Team.

This room parent receives a check for class funds from the PTA in the fall. They will manage the class budget and reimburse parents as needed for party supplies, holiday gift expenditures on behalf of the class, etc.
