Our days are based on the dogs in the pack that day! A dog who is comfortable on trail on and off leash with great recall to a new pack leader is preferred - that said, I am VERY cautious with dogs off-leash and always do recall testing before trusting them off leash on trails even if you tell me they are great - new people and strange new places can make any dog uneasy so we always play it safe! 
How does your dog react to other people, dogs or other animals on the trail or in nature? *
Details like sometimes is nervous about men, kid friendly but sometimes unsure of the small humans, etc are important details.
