IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ BEFORE COMPLETING THE FORM

The Open Retreat is a precious opportunity for everyone to hear teachings and join in a schedule of meditation with the sangha. Luang Por Sumedho will offer a Dhamma reflection every day, with other teachers offering instruction and Q&A.

The retreat will be held in the Temple which holds approximately 400 people. Camping and limited basic indoor accommodation will be available for lay guests. You can also choose to stay in nearby hotels, B&Bs etc. To be guaranteed a place in the Temple, you have to commit to being there the whole week.

Arrivals and Registration for participants staying either at the monastery or nearby will take place on Saturday May 23rd. The retreat itself begins at 9am on May 24th and will end by 11.30 am on May 31st.

Bookings will open on October 14th 2019. We will process all bookings received and start sending out confirmation emails from end of October.

Booking will remain open up until the time of the retreat. If all 400 possible places are allocated, there will be a waiting list in operation.

We will require re-confirmation of your place 4 weeks before the start date of the retreat so please take care when providing your email address on the Open Retreat Booking Form.  

As we anticipate considerable demand for spaces and accommodation on the open retreat, please ensure that you re-confirm your place as requested. Accommodation and seating will be released if not reconfirmed.  All retreatants who have booked a place are also requested to complete a short registration at the monastery on May 23rd.  

If you are planning to attend the retreat as day visitor, you do not need to complete the Open Retreat Booking Form, simply turn up on the day that you wish for the sessions you want to attend.  However, please be aware that the Temple has limited capacity and preference will be given to those attending the whole retreat.  There will be an audio-visual relay in the Sala during the open retreat.
