Caregiver Poll - SDO2020 workshop

To increase diversity and inclusion, the SDO2020 (held in Vancouver, Canada on Oct 12-16 2020) SOC is seeking to determine if we should provide a limited number of caregiver grants. Please help us create a beneficial service by filling out the information below. All information is optional and confidential. The poll will be open until the end of March 2020.

We will most likely implement a system similar to the AAS Child/Dependent Care Grants (https://aas.org/grants-and-prizes/childdependent-care-grants) where workshop participants can apply for a grant for reimbursement. These grants are intended for meeting participants who have a child under 15 or adult dependent that lives in your home and is unable to care for themselves. After the meeting awardees would receive a refund up to a maximum amount for qualifying expenses. Qualifying expenses would include things like: airfare for your dependent, airfare or hotel to bring an extra caregiver (like a family member, nurse, or nanny) to the meeting location, extra caregiver expenses at your home while you are at the meeting, etc.
