The Women's Coaching Alliance is on a mission to develop female leaders through coaching youth sports. We're currently recruiting softball mentors for our middle and high school softball teams with the SF Giants Community Fund this summer (Jun-Aug) in San Francisco. Who you are:
- Passionate about providing young women the tools and experience to be future leaders
- A believer in the value that a mentor provides
- Aware of the value of seeing coaches in action because you know real examples work best with new coaches
- Even tempered and patient

As a Coach Mentor, you'll:
- Attend the Leadership Academy Training on Sat May 18
- Attend one weekly practice and games throughout the season. Weekly practices are held on weekdays and games on weekends
- Have a weekly debrief and prep call with your coaches and leader mentor
- Work with your coaches on setting goals for themselves and the team, preparing for and debriefing games and practices, and adjusting plans based on team dynamics
In order to be a Coach Mentor, here's what's required:
- Softball coaching experience
- An understanding that this is a recreational level team and prioritize the positive experience kids will have vs winning at all costs
- References from a previous player you have coached or a parent of a previous player

- Sample practice plans
- Leadership mentor to partner with who will reinforce coaches' leadership lessons learned
