Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Eid ul Fitr festival scheduled for May 13th, 2021 at 815 W. Layton Ave, outside of the ISM Community Center.  The festival is scheduled from 12 pm - 6 pm and is expected to be very well attended.  

Please note that if you are sick or if you have been exposed to someone with Covid 19 within two weeks prior to the event, please do not come.  We will be checking temperatures at each shift and we require masks at all times.

*Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
*Volunteers must wear masks at all times
*Volunteers must exhibit professional behavior and engage in a friendly manner with all guests, even if some are
    unpleasant.  Inform us if you witness or experience problematic behavior from any guests.
*No foul language is allowed.
*We reserve the right to dismiss any volunteer who is not behaving in a professional manner.

*We also encourage you to participate in a walk through at the festival site at 6:00 pm on May 12 so you are
    familiar with your station.
*We may need to reassign you the day of the fest if we find that some activities are more popular and need more
  attendants.
****Current Volunteer Opportunities:
We will do our best to accommodate your preference but cannot guarantee it.

1.Setup:  This includes hanging signs and banners, arranging tables and chairs and anything else that comes up.
 
2. Entrance:  Making sure everyone is wearing a mask, encouraging social distancing, etc

 3. All Rides and Inflatables:              
2-3 volunteers at all rides and inflatables  
Making sure masks are worn
Monitoring social distancing and proper queue (no skipping line)
Making sure young children are accompanied by an adult
Checking age or height requirement for rides
Encouraging donations and watching donation box.   Assist with electronic donations  
   
      4.  Petting Zoo and pony rides (see #3 above)
      5.  Stage and performers  2 volunteers

Introducing performers
Making sure children are not running on stage or playing with wires
Helping performers when they engage with audience
Encouraging donations  and taking care of donation box            
 
     6. Parking Attendants 5-6 volunteers
Helping direct cars and making sure people are parking properly
Helping people leave and indicating empty spots for those needing parking
Making sure traffic and entrances are not blocked.      
     7.  Clean up  help take down banners, clean up, etc
