Have you ever wondered why some people have less access to healthcare than others? Why, with the cutting-edge advancements in technology and an abundance of facilities, do various minority groups face inadequate care in our country?

HealthNeedsRx's Health Equity Workshop will work on answering this question, along with many more! We will be exploring why disparities exist, why they persist, examples in the real world, and how we can help. Through attending this three-day workshop, you will improve your social awareness and collaboration skills, and you will be better prepared for a future in healthcare or social justice.

In addition to speaking with professionals, you will be able to participate in various engaging activities with other students your age, such as minigames, discussions, and research sessions.

The workshop will take place on Zoom from Monday, August 9th to Wednesday, August 11th in 2 cohorts from 11 am - 2 pm and 2 pm - 5 pm EST. You will get the choice of which cohort to be in, to better fit your schedule and the time zone you reside in.

At the end of the workshop, committed students will receive a certificate of completion available to download and/or print out. These students must attend at least 2 of the 3 hours of each day for the duration of their cohort. You are best suited for the workshop if you are a current or incoming 7th-10th grader, however we do welcome other grades as well!
