STEAM Ambassador Tutoring Permission Form

Prior to your student's first participation in a tutoring session, please fill out this permission form. If we have not received a permission form by 9pm the night before a student's first tutoring appointment, the session will be canceled.

Tutoring is offered to students grade in grades 5-9 for math and science classes. Virtual tutoring is provided by Allen STEAM Ambassadors, a group of students selected for the student leadership program by teachers, administrators, and board members through an extensive interview process. Many of them are ranked in the top of their graduating class and excel at STEAM subjects.

The sessions are designed to meet students’ individual questions and needs; however, the tutors do not provide answers for homework or exams.

All tutoring sessions will be recorded to ensure transparency and consistency. Recordings are stored in the sponsor's Allen ISD Google drive.

I understand my student will attend a Zoom session with a high school STEAM Ambassador. They have been trained in Zoom procedures, pedagogy, and have observed instruction by Allen ISD teachers. Sessions will be recorded and submitted to sponsors and/or administrators immediately following the session. *
