Yankton School District provides morning and afternoon bus service to JrK – 12th grade students living outside the Yankton city limits in the Yankton School District (Out of Town Transportation). Preschool students attending the 4-year old PM program are eligible for transportation home after school upon 3:20 dismissal. Parents of out of town bus students will receive details of pick-up and drop-off times & bus letter once the student(s) has been routed. Allow 48-72 hours for routing.

YSD provides morning only bus service to JrK - 12th grade students from designated In Town stop locations (In Town Busing). Students may begin riding 2 days after submitting the request, parents will not receive communication for this transportation.

YSD also provides transportation from the Academy to the student's assigned school in the morning and transportation from the student's assigned school in the afternoon to the Academy or the Boys & Girls Club. Students may begin riding 2 working days after submitting the request; parents will not receive communication for this transportation.

Students will receive bus passes during their first week of transportation. Bus passes will be used to scan on and off the bus. Replacement fee is $5. Please allow 48 hours (weekday) for your student to be routed. Be sure to download the app "Here Comes the Bus" to track your student. The School Code is 84104.
