Blue Ridge Blankets Ballot
Blue Ridge Blankets: Locally sourced + crafted blankets in WNC

In December of 2021, we began gathering fiber, from all over our region, to make local blankets. We sourced white mohair, alpaca + fine wool for our Blue Ridge Blend blankets, and several colors of Shetland wool for our pure Shetland blankets. The fiber was spun into yarn at Two Roots Fiber Mill, some of the Blue Ridge Blend skeins were naturally dyed on-site at our studio, and the yarn was woven into the blankets you see here by weavers from Warren Wilson College and Haywood Community College.

These blankets are samples of 19 different designs created by our design team, and brought to life by the weavers. The designs are named for the towns and cities in WNC where the farmers, dyers, designers and weavers for this project reside, as well as three watersheds and five mountains that grace our region.

We want to hear from you! Take a look at the blankets, and vote for your top 3 favorites. If you feel inspired, tell us why.
