A little bit about FFA...
Half a million students across the country are becoming leaders, building self-esteem and preparing for career success. They are members of FFA and are making new friends, going new places and trying new things. FFA prepares students by helping them develop leadership and life skills that will shape their decision-making and values for the rest of their lives. At Feagin Mill, we will have our chapter meetings, competitions, and participate in state activities even if classes move online. Due to Covid-19, we may need to do many of these activities virtually. At this time there is still some uncertainty, but we will participate in activities as they are offered in-person or virtually. Below are some perks to being an FFA member:
1. Monthly FFA Meetings
2. State Activities (Discovery Conference, State convention, Summer Camp)
3. Local Activities (Community Service, Ag Industry Tour, Farm Tours)
4. Food at every meeting (unless virtual)
5. Leadership opportunities
6. FFA Member can be as involved as they wish. There are't requirements
7. Career Development Events (CDE's) are competitions
8. All grade levels can participate
