Join the Volunteer Opportunities Program (VOP) at Y.E.S. for an 8-week series at two community gardening sites in Arcata. Volunteers will assist with outdoor projects which may include weeding, tending greenhouse plants, orchard care, harvesting, and more!

Two Sites Available:
Mad River Hospital Garden
Weekly: Tuesday from 12:00 - 1:00pm (9/13/22 through 10/25/22)
Location: Volunteers are responsible for securing their own transportation to the community site (3800 Janes Road Arcata). Meet outside the front of the main hospital entrance and then walk with the group to the garden space.
Potawot Community Food Garden
Weekly: Thursday from 2:00 - 3:30 pm (9/15/22 through 10/27/22)
Project Details: Limited to 15 students per week/gardening visit. Wellness self-checks required. Outside projects only (rain or shine).
Volunteers are responsible for securing their own transportation to the volunteer sites in Arcata. YES will email you information about transportation and recommended clothing to help you prepare for this volunteer project. Please check your campus email to learn more.
A minimum of 3 students is required to hold scheduled project dates. Please check your email leading up to the event for updates and more information.
