Freewheels Houston welcomes volunteers 14 years old and older to participate without parental supervision. Younger people may participate with their parents.

If you are under 18 years old, please ask your parent or guardians to complete the Freewheels Houston Volunteer Consent and Photo Release.

Skills and interests

Freewheels welcomes volunteers with varying levels of experience repairing bikes. Our volunteers enjoy sharing what they know and will help you learn the basics and improve your skills. If you already know how to repair a bike, we will put you to work right away. Our volunteers learn from each other; each time you come, you will learn something new about bikes.

We have other tasks around the shop and we're looking for help on other assignments, such are distributing bikes, safety instruction and communications and social media.

Bike maintenance experience (choose one)

I don't know how to repair bikes.

I can fix a flat tire and complete some other basic tasks.

I know how to maintain many of the systems on a bike.
