Hatza SHINE 2025 Needs and Feedback Survey

MD Humanities is currently developing the guidelines and application for the 2025 Marilyn Hatza Memorial SHINE Grant Program, expected to open in July 2024. If you are a small nonprofit conducting humanities work in Maryland you may be eligible to apply for general operating support through this grant. We are gathering feedback from current and potential grantees to inform the 2025 guidelines and application. We are also developing free grants workshops for humanities nonprofits. The goal of the survey is to gather information about the needs amongst organizations and what kinds of support organizations need to develop a successful Hatza SHINE grant application.

If you have questions about this survey or MD Humanities grants in general please email Program Officer, Grants, Emily Ross at eross@mdhumanities.org. Our grants webpage is the best place to stay updated on the next round of Hatza SHINE grants.

Please answer as much or as little of the survey questions that feel relevant to the feedback you’d like to provide. It is not required to answer every question. The survey will close May 3, 2024.
