Community sculpting is a project that consists of multiple sculpting workshops for and by trans people.

The ultimate goal would be to make 1400 red sculptures. This is a symbolic number to visualize the problem with the waiting list for trans healthcare in the Netherlands. 1400 represents the amount of people on the waiting list right now.

The main focus of the project however is: meeting new people, having fun and making something beautiful together.

The workshop starts at 17:00. I will explain a bit about ceramics and we will talk about other art projects centering community care or activism. Then we will work on the project, eat and get to know each other! The food is free and prepared by Denise and me.

Please bring an object (or photo or drawing of this object) that is important to you with you. We can use this as inspiration and to get to know each other.
