Content Assistant Position
POSITION OVERVIEW

The objective of this position is to continue to support the growth of our online presence and engage our customer base through quality program materials.  This role is responsible for reviewing curriculum across all of our resources/products and improving them editorially and graphically as well as refining the materials to target different levels of  learners.  This position will also serve as the primary editor to one of our blogs. We estimate that this role will be 5-10 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

- Using curriculum provided by Montessori experts this role will be responsible for converting the content into workbooks, ebooks,  and slides while meeting brand and editorial quality standards
- Support marketing efforts across the program including newsletters, blog posts, social media, and course marketing materials
- Updates and edits printable curriculum resources for a variety of learning levels (preschool through lower elementary)
- Produces error-free content that adheres to style guidelines and matches the established brand voice for our Nook blog; this includes refining the existing content and planning and publishing new content in line with business objectives
- Supports content publishing with our team in line with our overall publishing schedules

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

- Experience writing a variety of different types of content (short and long form, course and curriculum related, classroom learning materials, and general marketing elements)
- Specific experience creating learning materials for preschool-kindergarten-lower elementary students
- Has a great eye for design and creation of materials such as workbooks and presentation slides
- Proven writing experience writing for an educationally focussed audience (includes clarity of writing, grammar, editing, ability to translate Montessori concepts into short compelling text)
- Montessori expertise (MACTE accredited training, 3+ years classroom experience) is preferred but not required
- Comfortable with tech, willingness to learn new tools; familiarity with publishing tools such as WordPress, Teachable, PowerPoint, and Canva
- Familiarity with Trillium Montessori’s Classroom Setup Bootcamp is preferred
- Awareness and support of social justice issues and ability to incorporate in content created for social media with finesse
