University of Sussex Community Kitchen survey
Based on a successful student referenda and the University Sustainability Strategy, we are exploring setting up a Community Kitchen on campus for use by societies, groups of students and university staff. We are interested in your views about the project and what you would want to see offered in the space.

The referenda stated that the aims of the project would be to:
  • Have a space for informal and formal education around food preparation and its environmental implications through cookery classes and events of societies

  • Improve students´ physical and mental health, through cooking nutritious meals together with other members of the community

  • Enhance the environmental sustainability of the university, for example through preparing meals with surplus ingredients

The following questions will help us to develop initial plans for the Community Kitchen. The survey will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete. Please submit your response before Tuesday 6th June. All questions are optional, feel free to skip questions if you don't have comments to share.

We want to ensure the Community Kitchen is accessible to all, while also requesting donations towards the costs of running the space/ store cupboard/ maintenance/ cleaning etc.
