Cross country running is a competitive endurance sport, taking place in the winter months which has associated risks of fatigue and exposure to inclement weather. It is a parent's responsibility to ensure their child is prepared and fit for this type of race.

The Championships will now consist of three races: 13/12/2020 - 11/04/2021 - 18/04/2021
Championship 1st - 2nd - 3rd awards will be determined by summing the best times from two races i.e. unless you competed last December, you must now complete both races to be considered for the overall championships!

Races will be restricted to UKA rule age groups as listed below for 2020/1 competition:
U11 = 10 on 31/08/2020 (school year 6)

Each competitor must be supervised by a parent/guardian from the child's support 'bubble'. They will be responsible for the welfare and adherence to COVID safety precautions for that child, and self.
There will be no specialist first aid provision - Worcester Athletic Club volunteers will only assist in life threatening scenarios.

Entry is strictly pre-entry only. Under NO circumstances will entry be taken on the day.

Numbers must be collected on the day when entering the track - they must be pinned to the front of your vest.
Only one parent/guardian may accompany a competitor(s) - if a sibling is competing in another race they can be accompanied by a different parent/guardian. Supervising parent/guardians will be asked to provide contact details. Please wear face mask when attending registration.
Parents may spectate only from the designated area and must leave with the competing athlete immediately after a race. There should be no congregating on the track or car parks before/after the event.

Results will not be declared on the day. Finalised results will posted on the club website as soon as possible after the event.

COVID-19 - Participants and guardians must not attend the event if they have been unwell in the previous 14 days. Anyone self-isolating because of ‘test and trace’ advice or suspected contact with an infected person must not attend.
Anyone who subsequently becomes ill (or shows symptoms) within 48 hours, must contact the organisers and inform them.

Numbers can be collected 20 minutes prior to competition time. This will allow time to get to start and warm up. Running (recce) the course is not permitted.

Applications close on the Tuesday (2100hrs) prior to each race and will only be accepted via this form.
Entrants will be informed of their START times by the Friday (12.00hrs) prior to each race.

A separate form is required for each competitor.

This event has in the past been a low key casual race with all age groups starting together.
We hope that this will prove to be an enjoyable and engaging race that will go some way to provide much needed competition. This race is only permitted if we establish and operate a COVID secure environment; we have been robust in our procedures and we hope you will assist in providing a safe and exciting event for our younger members. There is NO charge for the series of races.
Personal details will be stored for 21 days for HM Government contact tracing purposes.

Thank you for your cooperation.
