Joining the awesome San Jose Local team in the following roles: Greeter, Outreach, Tech...

Join in on fun local social bike rides around San Jose and neighboring cities

Identify events and Create maps and routes to community events, like the regular Farmers Markets, Concert in the Parks, or other community events or locations.

Volunteers to staff a table at community events and farmer's markets, organize tables, with bike information, maps, basket info, or bike fixing, or other relevant events.

Identifying and working with council members and staff for more bike lanes and safer roads for bicyclist , so there is more joy and safety when you can bike .

More funding for bike/ped staff at city to implement grant $ they already have

Promoting VTA's bus rapid transit (BRT) dedicated lane + bike lane option for San Jose

Bike stress network study - could be used to prioritize bike/ped plan - identifying and fixing weak, high stress connections.

Vision Zero

Bike-focused additions to San Jose Comprehensive Plan, for example: Complete Streets Policy (this could involve research on what other cities' General Plans include)

Bike share ideas - to improve current system or have an alternate system

Making good bike USER maps like the safe routes to schools maps, that identify the best routes either across town, or to a particular facility or event.
