As Olde Vechte we offer a volunteering project which takes places in Ommen, the Netherlands, at our Foundation. The Foundation is situated in the country-side, surrounded by large forests and long rivers, windmills, bike paths and beautiful landscapes, while the volunteering activities consists of doing practical activities in a Dutch organization, such as a farm, horse farm, campsite, etc. while getting a taste of the Dutch culture.

We are accepting you in case you are coming from vulnerable situation and if you have difficulties in your life. “Young people with fewer opportunities” is defined in the ESC program guide as the young people (age between 18-30) who are at a disadvantage compared to their peers because they face one or more of the eight exclusion factors: disability, health problems, educational difficulties, long-term unemployment, cultural differences, economic obstacles, social obstacles or geographic obstacles.

We offer a place to stay which will be shared with other international volunteers, a bike which is very handy on the roads of the Netherlands, pocket and living money, with which is enough to buy food and enjoy your free time. As well, European Solidarity Corps is going to reimburse the travel to come here and go back.
