Position: Middle School Math and Science Teacher
Location: Odenton Christian School, 8410 Piney Orchard Pkwy, Odenton, MD, 21113
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:
 Teach math and science courses to middle school students, incorporating the Abeka
curriculum and integrating Christian principles from the King James Version of the Bible.
 Develop engaging and challenging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and
foster critical thinking skills.
 Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered
to explore, question, and discover.
 Utilize a variety of instructional methods and resources to enhance student understanding
and engagement.
 Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and support the
overall mission of the school.
 Communicate regularly with parents regarding students’ progress, behavior, and any
concerns.
Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in Education, Math, Science, or related field (preferred); Master’s
degree preferred.
 Experience teaching math and science at the middle school level, preferably in a
Christian school setting with familiarity with the Abeka curriculum.
 Strong understanding of and commitment to integrating Christian values into teaching
practices.
 Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
