Touch Registration 2023 - Term 4

Below is the Touch Summer Sport registration offered at Balmacewen Intermediate.

Registrations need to be entered by Friday 6th October. 

Payment for all sports must be made by Friday, October 13th (end of week 1) - Balmacewen has a no pay, no play policy. Uniforms will not be handed out until subs have been paid. 

Below is a brief blurb of when and where Touch is played so your child/children can make an informed choice about which sports they would like to participate in.

In most sports, parent help is desperately needed. If there is not enough parent help, some students will not be able to play their desired sport/s. Please consider offering to help coach/manage/co-manage your child's sports team, it is very much appreciated! 

If you are thinking about offering your assistance but are not too sure what is required, please get in touch with either the Teacher in Charge of the sport or our Sports Coordinator Kate Ebrahim and they will be more than happy to talk you through it.

Being apart of sport teams and sport events at Balmacewen Intermediate is all about developing the understanding of what independence and responsibility is and what being a team player is all about. Therefore, it is vital for all students who sign up for sport, to remember;
- Attend any meetings or uniform handouts 
- Attend trainings before school, during lunchtime or after school
- Listen carefully to the school daily notices for information 
- Communicate clearly with either there coaches/manages/TIC or our Sports Coordinator if needed.

Touch ($30)

Touch is played on a Thursday night at Kensington Oval in Term 4, for 7 weeks starting Thursday 12th October. 

Game times; are traditionally between 4:15pm and 5:45pm. 
Students need to find their own way to and from the Kensington Oval. 

Balmacewen correct PE uniform must be worn. Either sneakers or touch boots need to be worn, as bare feet are not allowed. 

Trials will be held at school. Information for trial will be posted via daily school notices & school facebook page.

Students can choose to play in competitive or development grades.  

Help is needed with refereeing these teams as we are responsible for supplying a referee for half of the game. Please consider helping out with this. There is an opportunity for students to become a referee for junior games as well.
