This course is open to all skill levels for target archery experience.
Archers will learn about range safety, an archer’s stance, and shooting techniques, along with the general care of archery equipment. They will also be introduced to the USA NTS shot cycle.
Each student will be instructed in:
● Stretches for warming up specifically for archery.
● Determining eye dominance.
● Archery safety and range rules.
● Equipment used in archery.
● Terminology used in archery.
● The technique and importance of an archer’s stance, grip, draw and release.
● How to nock, draw, aim and shoot an arrow.
● How to score and safely retrieve arrows.
● The history of archery.
● Basic rules of competition and the etiquette of archery.
● How to string and unstring a bow.
● Ways to continue archery for its recreational, health, fitness and social benefits.

Class Prerequisites: Archery 101
Materials mandatory for class: None, but having/using personal equipment is highly suggested.
Archers will learn advanced information on the USA National Training System, an archer’s stance, shooting techniques, and the general care of archery equipment.
Each student will be instructed in:
● Advanced stretches and exercises for archery performance.
● Advanced terminology used in archery.
● Advanced archer’s stance, grip, draw and release training. (11 steps of NTS)
● Students will practice scoring arrows.
● The history of archery and different styles and disciplines of archery.
● Practice rules of competition and archery etiquette.
● Students will string and unstring bows.

This course will be tailored to each individual student's goals. The focus will be competition driven, and in-depth USA NTS/equivalent training will be used. This course is designed for athletes who are committed to archery, competing and increasing their level of skill and performance.
