Membership is on a calendar year basis beginning in January.  You can join at other times, but you will not be able to order team kit until the next order window in January or June.  Membership includes discounts from our fabulous sponsors, participation in team events, and the opportunity to buy other cool BYC clothing. New member annual dues are $99 and returning members are $75.

Boneyard Cycling Code of Conduct
Boneyard Cycling is diverse; some are out to win, some are out to test themselves, some just want to have fun. We embrace all of this. Despite the coolness associated with team membership, maintaining humility is expected. The team is committed to providing an environment free from harassment and discrimination. Harassment or discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status will not be tolerated.

Members are encouraged to participate in team social events and rides. Members are encouraged to race or support teammates at local races. Team members entering races or other events in Oregon will register with the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA) with their team name as “Boneyard Cycling”. Members will wear the current team kit (minimum requirement is the current jersey) when racing and should wear team kit whenever possible in training and on recreation rides.

Boneyard Cycling Team members agree to volunteer at least 8 hours per year at cycling events or related activities held in or around Central Oregon. Volunteer activities could include, but are not limited to, helping out at bike races or participating in trail work events.

Sponsor benefits are intended for team members only; and sponsorship gifts and support shall not be used for resale or personal monetary gain.

Team members should demonstrate good sporting conduct and a respectful attitude at cycling and non-cycling events when representing Boneyard Cycling or team sponsors. Team members agree to represent the team and sport of cycling in a positive manner by obeying all racing rules and traffic laws. Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in membership revocation through a vote of the team Officers.

Liability Release Waiver
I recognize that bicycling is a sweet activity and involves certain risks. Bicycling and other team activities may involve risks and dangers causing serious bodily injury or property damage, including, but not limited to; permanent disability, paralysis, death, and other losses (“Risks”). These risks may be influenced by equipment failure, collisions with pedestrians, vehicles, other riders, fixed or moving objects, surface abnormalities, weather conditions, the actions or inactions of myself or someone else. I am fully aware of the risks to my finances, personal relationships and the potential of personal injury or death that may occur. I will only engage in cycling and other activities when in sufficiently good health. I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages arising as a result of my participation in any Boneyard Cycling related activities. I hereby release, discharge and covenant not to sue and agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless the team, its officers, managers, members, and sponsors (Releasees). I further agree that if, despite this release and waiver of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnity agreement, I or anyone on my behalf makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I will indemnify, save and hold harmless each of the Releasees from any litigation expenses, liability, damage or costs associated with such claims. I recognize this is a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law. I understand this legal waiver deprives me of any chance of getting money for disasters and that I give up substantial rights by signing it. With full knowledge and understanding that disasters may happen when engaged in activities as a team member of Boneyard Cycling, I accept and assume all risks and responsibility for losses, costs, and damages I incur as a result of my participation in the activity. I understand that failure to abide by these standards may result in dismissal from Boneyard Cycling. I agree to the Boneyard Cycling Code of Conduct and the Liability Release Waiver and to just abide.
