Rigor & Relevance Framework Training Interest
Dear Leaders,

Blessings in Christ!

We have worked with the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE) to create a Rigor and Relevance Framework Training for the schools of the PSD. You received an introduction to this amazing research and training last week at the Administrators Leadership Conference from Dr. Bill Daggett, Founder and President of ICLE. This special opportunity is limited to 30-35 people. We would LOVE to have you join us!

In year one, the participant will commit to 3 training sessions 1)Creating a Culture for Rigorous Learning, 2)Building Instructional Capacity for Rigorous Learning, and 3)Leveraging Systemwide Data to Support Decision Making. Each of these three sessions will be taught by Brooke Ward, instructional coach from ICLE who will also work outside of these training sessions with each cohort for more personalized coaching.

Session Dates and Times for year one are:
Session Series 1: Creating a Culture for Rigorous Learning
October 12:        2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. PST
October 14:        2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. PST
October 15:        10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. PST

Session Series 2: Building Instructional Capacity for Rigorous Learning
November 16:    2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. PST
November 18:    2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. PST
November 19:    10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. PST

Session Series 3: Leveraging Systemwide Data to Support Decision Making
January 11:         2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. PST
January 13:         2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. PST
January 14:         10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. PST

Year two will have four sessions: Supporting Teachers to Increase Student Learning, Collaborating to Increase the Rigor of Student Learning, Communicating Effectively to Increase Relevance and Learner Engagement, and Establishing a Clear Focus and Taking Action on Data. These four sessions build upon what was learned in year one.  Finally, year three will be customized to meet the needs of participants from their growth, training and learning in years one and two. This amazing training is available to administrators and/or a teacher-leader or curriculum leader from your school. It is our goal that the leaders who have been trained in the Rigor and Relevance Framework (built on the foundation of relationships) will then train all other teachers on staff with this professional development. ICLE coaches will also be available to assist at any time!

We have worked hard to keep costs as low as we can for our schools. We are requesting that each participant from the school commit to a $500 per-year fee for the full three years ($1,500 total). We DO NOT want cost to get in the way of your school receiving this valuable training, however! We are also working to secure scholarship funds to help any school with a real financial need to enable participation in this training.

Please fill out this form to let us know of your interest in participating, and one of us in School Ministries will be in touch with you soon!
