Community Input for Reopening Fall 2020
The Whittier Union High School District is working with teachers, administration, staff, LA County Office of Education and the LA County Public Health Department to develop a plan for opening schools in August. The extent to which schools are open shall be based on what is allowable under Stage 2 or Stage 3 of Governor Newsom’s plan to reopen California. Currently, Los Angeles County is in Stage 2 of the four-stage plan for reopening California. Stage 2 calls for schools to be open in a modified manner after July 1, with Stage 3 allowing for greater numbers of students to gather and congregate on campuses.

The District realizes that some families may have concerns regarding their student's return to school under either our Stage 2 or Stage 3 reopening plans and therefore we are seeking your feedback as we work on a phased approach to reopening.

Thank you in advance for providing us feedback as we work on developing our re-opening plan.

If approved by the Governor and CA Department of Education, we are considering offering students a fully-online learning option for the Fall semester.  If this option is provided, would you be interested for your student?
