Step 1: Register your GIN Conference Observer Participants

1a. BE PREPARED TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:
BASIC INFO
+ School Name
+ Host City and Country
+ Full Name and Email of Person Completing Registration
+ Full Name and Email of School Emergency Contact
CONTACT LIST OF ALL PARTICIPANTS
+ Total number of attendees from your school
+ All Participant Contact List: includes all GIN Students, Ed Mentors, and GIN Admin Advisors names and contacts as well as full name of at least one legal guardian for each student
+ Media Release Permissions have been granted and signed (noted in contact list)
IMPORTANT NOTE: In accordance with safety and safeguarding best practices we will only admit emails who have been added to the contact list as registered observers. 

2. LEGAL GUARDIAN/PARENTAL CONSENT STATEMENT
The person who is completing this form submits their full name (an electronic signature) as a school representative who is responsible for and has taken the necessary steps to document confirmation of permission to participate from each student's legal guardian.
This same person will indicate the affirmation of this confirmation in the Contact List Template we provide.

3. INCOMING PARTICIPANTS- MEDIA RELEASE
The person who is completing this form submits their full name (an electronic signature) as a school representative who is responsible for and has taken the necessary steps to document confirmation of consent from each student's legal guardian to release ownership and use media created before, during and after the conference for non-profit purposes. This includes but is not limited to (audio, video, transcripts etc) of GIN Conference Events, Activities, Workshops, Discussions etc for non profit use and GIN Changemaker learning purposes.
This same person will indicate the affirmation of this confirmation in the Contact List Template we provide.

4. DRESS CODE:
Business Casual/ Easy and comfortable movement
Ex: Comfortable and supportive shoes, jeans/comfortable slacks/easy to move in dresses/skirts, t-shirt/collared shirts
Please no: holes, rips, inappropriate words or images, or hard to move in clothes.

5. CODE OF CONDUCT
- We are here to exchange and innovate solutions to complex problems. Come prepared to collaborate with empathy and work hard!
- Substance abuse will not be tolerated- zero tolerance policy
- Disrespect, discrimination and bullying will not be tolerated- zero tolerance policy
- Students will be expected to meet and visit after conference hours in public and common areas with advisor chaperones present.
According to the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), digital citizens “recognize the rights, responsibilities and opportunities of living, learning and working in an interconnected digital world, and they act and model in ways that are safe, legal and ethical.” ISTE identifies the following indicators of digital citizens:

  • Students engage in positive, safe, legal and ethical behavior when using technology, including social interactions online or when using networked devices.
  • Students demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the rights and obligations of using and sharing intellectual property.
  • Students manage their personal data to maintain digital privacy and security and are aware of data-collection technology used to track their navigation online.
6. STUDENTS WHO BREAK THE CODE OF CONDUCT:
