This is a low-stakes self-assessment. You are not being graded on the content of your answers to these questions (though, depending on the course through which you received the link, you may be graded on whether you complete the assessment on time). The goal is to establish a baseline for your abilities in the three skill areas that are necessary for business analytics, or data science as applied to business.
For background, read
The Birds of AI. There is no one “bird type” that a person embodies for all purposes; there may be contexts where you have deep business knowledge but limited experience in data management, and other contexts where the opposite is true. Therefore,
answer these questions with respect to your main vocation or job.
For calibration, consider a 10 to be someone who is so skilled at this area that they exercise this skill professionally at an industry-leading level and can teach other people how to do it, while a 0 is someone who doesn’t have the skill and may not even understand why it would be useful. General professional competence short of total mastery would fall in the 6–9 range.
Feel free to open another tab and look up definitions for any terms you don't understand. If you still don't get what a question is asking, put 0. If you think you understand the question but you have a quibble with the precise definitions of words in it, just make the best estimate you can, with a bias toward giving yourself lower scores in cases of uncertainty.
(Note: on request, we can deliver a score report and "bird profile" to your email, along with a series of customized LLM prompts to use to generate a plan of action.)
