OCTA Bike/Ped Volunteer Application

Walk N' Rollers, in conjunction with OCTA, is excited to introduce Be Safe Be Seen - a county-wide initiative to prevent pedestrian and bicycle-related injuries. The program includes OC Bike Adventures (a series of bicycle safety classes), Operation Bright Lights and Operation Be Seen. We are looking for volunteers interested in transportation, public health, or bicycle safety to help with outreach and distribution of materials during Operation Bright Lights and Operation Be Seen. Use this form to sign up for the event(s) you are interested and available to help with.

Applicants must be team-oriented, professional, courteous and comfortable speaking with strangers.

Operation Bright Lights features distribution of bicycle safety gear such as helmets, bike lights, safety educational material at various intersections throughout O.C. You will be working with a team of 8 staff and volunteers for up to 2 hours.

Operation Be Seen features riding a 2 hour bus route in Orange County while distributing pedestrian safety educational materials to patrons of OC Bus.
