IEA Public Leadership Forum: Interest Survey
Purpose: We have received a grant from the NEA to conveneĀ spaces for IEA members, who either are, have been, or aspire to be, locally elected/appointed leaders (BOE members/City or County Boards, Library Boards, etc.), to support each other as they fulfill their duties as public leaders in their local districts and communities. The IEA Public Leadership Forum will connect member leaders with each other and the resources of the IEA, both in virtual and live spaces, but also with the creation of a Public Leadership Database, allowing participants to reach out and build connections with others who they might share interests, leadership roles, local geographies or other affinities. The forum will support member questions regarding research based policy implementation, political coalition building and even election/re-election campaign resources. We are planning on holding a initial, virtual brainstorming session in June, followed by an initial kick-off in July for the 2024-25 school year. Please take a moment to fill out the questions below AND to share this survey with other IEA members who might be interested in this project. Thanks!
