Public Education Priorities for Change

The Alberta general election is coming soon and it's up to us to make a difference.

You shared your voice and commitment at the October 22 rally. Now it’s time for the next phase of our election engagement action plan.

It is essential we ensure that public education issues play a major role in the lead up to the coming provincial election, and we need your assistance in making this happen.

Please share your vision on creating a strong and resilient public education for Alberta’s children and youth. We need to hear your views on what should be the priority changes that we need to press for in order to allow teachers to do their best work with all of our students

Your ideas will direct the ATA to develop a clear and comprehensive Statement of Priorities for Change in Public Education that will be the foundation for our advocacy efforts in the May election.

How you can share what matters to you:

1. Share your individual priorities for change needed in education in the form provided below

2. Work with others on your staff to identify priority changes from the perspective of your specific school situation

Our goal is to identify teachers’ key priorities for change in the areas that are most important to you in your situation.

We greatly appreciate your assistance in this important work.
