Girls Rock NC Durham After School: Fall 2019
Girls Rock NC is excited to offer our Durham after school program at Central Park School for Children's Middle School again this fall!

We will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3:30pm to 6pm, beginning on October 22nd and ending on December 12th.

Over the course of those eight weeks, participants will receive instrument instruction (on drums, guitar, bass, or keys), make some electronic music, make zines, participate in workshops & group discussions, write songs with their band, and present their creations at the end for parents and friends!

We will provide snacks at each session.

Our organizational mission focuses on serving people of marginalized genders. As such, our programming is open to 5th-8th grade girls, gender-nonconforming youth, and transgender youth.

Due to space restrictions, there are limited spots available, and applications are reviewed by our adult organizers. We will be accepting students on a first-come first-serve basis.

After your child is accepted, you will be either invoiced or notified that you have received full financial assistance. After school costs $200, (or $100 if your child will only be present one day each week instead of two), with full and partial financial assistance readily available.
