Register for an intensive speech course that will teach students how to identify social problems, the effects, and brainstorm solutions to correct the issues. Students will learn how to properly conduct research, and think critically about the world around them. These skills will ultimately culminate in a ten-minute long speech that will train students' public speaking abilities, a tool that easily applies and carries over into their day-to-day lives.
Meeting Times:
This class meets on Tuesdays from 8:30 PM EST - 9:30 PM EST for a total of 16 classes from 1/17/2023 to 5/16/2023 (no class on 2/21/2023 and 4/18/2023).
Additional Information:
Students will also participate in two national tournaments (online) throughout the duration of this class(tournaments occur over the weekends), one of which will be the Middle School Tournament of Champions.
About the instructor:
This course is taught my Michelle Zhang, a senior at Boston Latin School. She is the head captain of the Boston Latin School speech team with experience in mentoring novices, and has received national recognition for her performance in speech.
Class Capacity:
This class will be capped at 6 students to ensure the quality of our lessons. A full refund will be issued if you have registered after the capacity has been reached.
