Oman Desert Marathon Registration via AFT Gear Garage 
AFT Adventure Sport Trading FZ-LLC (Brand Name: AFT Gear Garage | ALL FOR TRAILS ) is Oman Desert Marathon official representative in UAE and China. Registration details are collected by AFT Gear Garage and sent to Oman Desert Marathon race organizer. Race participants have the full responsibility to read race rules, event programs, prepare and submit mandatory documentation and prepare mandatory equipment by deadlines, if mentioned, prior to the race. 

Registration Deadline: December 19, 2024, or when spots are full, whichever comes first. 
Special Rate registering via AFT Gear Garage: USD1400. 

The Oman desert marathon classic race of 165 Km and 100 km Oman desert marathon  hike are self-sufficient events in 5 stages in which the runners/hikers must carry their equipment, a sleeping bag and food during their adventure. The organization will provide tents, and the competitor must bring his / her own sleeping bag and pad.

165KM Oman Desert Marathon Classic
Starting from the Oasis of Alwasil and finishing at Al Jawharat Resort in Bediyah. It is a self supported desert running event consist of five stages of 42 km, 32 km, 40 km, 30 km and  21 km and five different perspectives of one of the most beautiful deserts of the world. It is an unique journey to discover the most remote, untouched sands and the highest dunes of the Omani Desert while on the tracks of the ancient caravans.

100KM Oman Desert Marathon Hike 
Starting from from the Oasis of Alwasil and finishing at Al Jawharat Resort in Bediyah and cover 5 stages, with the difference that you will cover approximately 20 km per day. This multi-day hike is the opportunity to explore endless rolling sand dunes, and investigate the desert on foot.  The Wahiba Sands are one of the most spectacular experiences Oman has to offer.

The following compulsory documents must be submitted.

Below documents should be submitted before 19th December 2024

  • Certificate of Assistance and Repatriation insurance
  • Copy of the passport (including issue date)
  • Flight information – arrival and departure times
  • Medical Certificate (Details see next "MEDICAL FILES")
Below document should be submitted before arriving Oman: 
  • ECG Test Result (Details see next "MEDICAL FILES")

Since the total number of participants is limited, the organization will accept entries in line with available places and will enroll only those whose administrative dossiers are complete.

MEDICAL FILES

To participate in the Oman Desert Marathon, medical files are also required which contains the following:

  • A standard medical certificate can be downloaded FROM THIS LINK . It must be signed by a GP confirming that you are cleared to take part in this event. The doctor must be made aware of the distance you will be covering, the average temperatures during the day and that you will be carrying a 10 – 15 kg ruck-sack during the race. 
  • An ECG must be carried out less than 30 days prior to the race start. The original document, dated and signed, must be presented during the administrative and technical checks the day before the race starts and must be considered valid and accepted by the organization (green light).  It needs to be sent to info@aftgeargarage.com before arriving Oman. 

  • If either of these documents is not provided, the competitor may be withdrawn from the race and will forfeit the entire race fee.
