About our Repair & Restoration Services
Choose REPAIR SERVICE when your item is broken or damaged and has become unwearable. For example; when a gemstone is loose or has gone missing, a clasp is broken or no longer functional, a chain in your chain links has broken or become loose, a dent or misformation of your item has changed the size or overall shape of your item. Repair service pricing is based on a review of your items damage by our master jeweler. You will be emailed an estimate of services once we receive your item and have reviewed it. Our Repair Service carries a limited ninety (90) day guarantee on the work performed and of any defects in the parts used to repair the item. This Guarantee does not include or cover any wear and tear or damage that may be caused by you once you take possession of the repaired item.

Choose RESTORATION SERVICE for example; when your item has lost its luster, has developed shallow or deep scratches, or superficial imperfections from wear over time or has naturally developed a patina or shift in color from its original state due to natural wear over time. This service does not include repairing or replacing any parts or altering the items sizing in anyway. Restoration service pricing starts at $50.00 USD plus any applicable shipping & insurance and is based on the complexity of the design, and the condition of your item at the time of review.

In many cases our customers would like both services done while we have possession of their item(s). Please select Repair & Restoration if this is the case.

Please note an estimate of repair services (including FedEx insured shipping) will be sent to the email in this request. If you choose to accept the estimate you must pay the invoice in full prior to the work being commenced. Upon completion of the work your item will be shipped back to you. The repair or restoration services will be performed and your item will be sent back to you upon completion. Repair and restoration timelines vary based on time of year and complexity of your request. Please contact a customer support agent to get an updated timeline to repair. If you choose not to accept the estimate you are required to pay for the shipping to have your item sent back to you including any applicable insurances which we require in order to ship your item. You will be emailed an invoice for shipping which you may pay online. We do not charge any fees associated with the inspection, review, and estimate of servicing your item.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS *
Doublemoss only accepts jewelry that it has created and has not been modified from its original manufactured design (not including any damage that may have altered the condition of the item). Doublemoss reserves the right to reject any item for repair or restoration services it deems may have been altered from its original manufactured state. Doublemoss offers a limited ninety (90) Day Guarantee of WORK AND CRAFTSMANSHIP OF REPAIR SERVICES you may purchase from us. This Guarantee includes manufacturing defect, and or work related to a repair completed by us. This Guarantee DOES NOT INCLUDE any scratches, or wear and tear that may occur while the item is in your possession including any wear and tear from normal use. Doublemoss does not offer a Guarantee of any kind on its RESTORATION SERVICES. You understand that it is your responsibility to securely package, and insure your item for its full and total replacement value while in transit to our facility. We recommend you use a carrier (such as FedEx) that provides you with delivery confirmation and or signature. Doublemoss is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items that you may send back to us. Once your item is received at our facility we will require two (2) to fifteen (15) business days to review your items condition and provide you with a written estimate of services. There are no fees associated with the review and inspection of your items condition. Once you receive an estimate for repair or restoration services you may choose to accept or deny the estimate. In the event you accept the estimate and request us to perform the repair or restoration services, you will be required to pay for these services in full prior to the services being performed. An invoice for services will be supplied to the email address on file and may be paid by credit card. Estimates will include insured shipping to the location you enter during checkout. Repair service timelines vary pending the time of year, and complexity of your return. You may inquire with our support line on current estimated repair times. Once your repair is complete you will receive an email with tracking number. Signature will be required on most deliveries over one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00USD).In the event you choose not to accept our estimate of services your item can be returned to you. You will be responsible to pay for the return shipping costs. All shipments will be insured for the original retail value of the item. An invoice for the return shipping costs will be sent to the email address on file for you. You must pay the invoice before items are shipped. Once paid you will receive an email with the tracking information of your return shipment and a copy of the estimate of repair services for your records. Doublemoss is not responsible for items left unattended at our facilities. Doublemoss reserves the right to deny your request for repair or restoration services for any reason whatsoever at its sole discretion and at anytime. Shipping your item to us.
Securely package and insure your shipment for its full and total replacement value using a carrier that provides you with Delivery confirmation and/or signature. Do not write on the exterior of the box or identify to anyone that you are shipping jewelry. Do not send packages to us without a tracking number.

We recommend that you keep a copy of your shipping receipt and tracking information until we have contacted you and are in possession of your item. In the event of loss or damage you are solely responsible to contact the carrier to file a claim. Doublemoss is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items in transit to our facility. You are responsible to pay for any and all shipping costs associated with repairs or restoration.
